Tenyiah D. Simmons is an experienced insurance producer and has been in the insurance business for over 15 years. Currently she remains the top licensed sales agent for State Farm insurance In Westchester, Illinois and Maywood, Illinois where she is the first African American female Agent in Chicago to have more than one agency. Tenyiah specializes in all lines of insurance products. She manages accounts for sales, accounting, financial planning, and a staff of 12 employees. As a top performer, she quickly developed a loyal book of business with diverse clientele. She is dedicated to building long term relationships of trust, professionalism and friendship.
As a native of Illinois, Tenyiah holds strong ties to the local community and understands the needs of local businesses and homeowners. In college where Tenyiah graduated Cum Laude She was also the President of the Campus Programming Board where she managed budgets, designed university and local events including fundraisers and workshops. You can find Tenyiah volunteering and participating in local community centered events where she promotes legacy planning and family financial security. She has designed more than one agency incentive based programs that have created relationships full of “appreciation” from the words of some of her clients. Prior to joining State Farm Tenyiah was a top performer at Allstate insurance company where she received a leadership award (2002) for her role as Manager selling all lines of insurance every month and over 100 life insurance policies consecutively for her fist year in sales. This was the initial encounter where she first found her passion to help others; She has been selling insurance products and services with passion and a personal interest for helping people ever since.
In addition to her dedication to the success of Tenyiah Simmons Insurance Agency, Mrs. Simmons also generously volunteers her time in the community. Tenyiah prominently serves as the Bramanti Trails Block Club President, the PTA board member, a workshop facilitator for Teen Parent Services (in conjunction with the State of Illinois’ Department of Human Services) and in various roles at her mega church. Tenyiah has been married for 14 years to her childhood sweet heart and is the mother of two children ages 13 & 19 where at home, she still promotes future planning and helping others especially in her personal life. Tenyiah has also worked with Essence to team up with the women let’s win series to speak about financial literacy for women everywhere.
